Paul Mitchell #artofstyle

Now that Coca Cola have declared ‘holidays are coming’ and all the Christmas adverts are on TV (I love the John Lewis one!) the countdown to Christmas is well and truly on!

Last month I went along to the beautiful Blythswood Hotel to attend the Paul Mitchell Art of Style night where we got to see the Christmas range.  This Christmas Paul Mitchell is celebrating the creativity of hair styling with gift sets inspired by art.  The gift sets come in lovely bags designed by fashion illustrator Sarah Harkinson.

There is a gift set for every hair type whether you have curly or coloured hair, or need an injection of moisture or volume.  In each gift bag you get a shampoo and conditioner and the larger sets also contain a styling product.  Gift sets range from £18-£35.  With such beautiful packaging you will definitely want to keep the bag to re-use.

Along with the art of style gift sets there is also the art of renewal sets, with tea tree for renewal, refreshment or relaxation.

As well as getting a look at the products there were great nibbles and a hair bar provided by Hely Hair Studio.  They were giving fab hairstyles from up-dos with loads of volume, gorgeous fishtail plaits and bouncing curls.

As beautiful as Blythswood Hotel is the lighting was not the best in the room we were in, I did still manage to get some photos though.

At the end of the night we were given goody bags with some great wee treats in them, I particularly like the tree tea shampoo and conditioner.  The goody bag also included a 3 in 1 lip product with lip pencil, lip crayon and lipgloss from CID cosmetics.  Before the night I had never heard of CID cometics, the products look high end and are packaged well, there are also some Christmas gift ideas on the CID website.
