My month in photos – January

I can’t believe that we are one month down already.  Where did January go?! Despite my new year not having the best start (I spent new years eve in bed with the winter sickness bug!) it was a jam packed and fun month.

We went for walks in St Andrews and round the loch in Linlithgow, spent an afternoon in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (one of my favourite places), and there was snow last month too!  It was like Narnia where my Dad lives just outside Glasgow, pretty to look at but really not fun to drive in!

January was a bit of a foodie month.  Ice cream from Jannettas in St Andrews, brunch in my favourite greasy spoon in Linlithgow where the best toast in the world is served and cake after Kelvingrove.  Last weekend we had the most amazing burgers.  I got my boyfriend a burger recipe book for Christmas and we made our first one from it, his pick, and boy was it a good choice!  Beef burger with beer cheese sauce and topped with maple bacon and mac n cheese in a brioche bun. Home made chips finished it off nicely.  Sunday brunch was a bacon roll from The Horn, voted the best in the world.  I’m not normally a fan of bacon rolls but it was pretty tasty! Clearly no January diet for me…

So a nice busy January!  I’m hoping February is as fun packed.
