About Me

Hi! I’m Kayleigh, a pale Scottish lass living on the east coast in the Kingdom of Fife with my other half Mark. I’ve been writing Frocks and Fairycakes since 2013 and originally started it as an escape and creative outlet from my corporate day job which involved way too many spreadsheets.

When I started my blog all those years ago I planned for it to be a fashion blog, but it has developed along with me into more of a lifestyle blog. Expect foodie posts, beauty, fashion/style and a bit of my life.

I love shopping, running and working out, eating cake (why I run and workout) and love all things vintage. I’m a big music fan and love going to gigs. On top of that I collect teacups, Alice in Wonderland books, actually Alice in Wonderland anything and things I find cute (My Little Pony, Hello Kitty and Tsum Tsums). I love a good Netflix binge and am a complete tea jenny.

When I left school (many, many years ago) I studied art at college and then onto fashion at uni. A combination of the wrong course and the fact I was studying in Galashiels saw me leave during second year and join the working world where I ended up working at one of the UKs biggest banks. Having recently been made redundant I have taken to studying again, this time to learn web design which is where I see my future career.

As well as writing Frocks and Fairycakes I’m Marketing and Media Director for the Edinburgh Blogger Conference.

Feel free to get in touch with me, even if it’s just for a wee chat – frocksandfairycakes@gmail.com.
